GOOD Based on 91 reviews Posted on Google Debbie McPheetersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are so happy that we chose Rocky Movers for our long distance move. Everyone was so professional. Dawn came out to our home to give us an estimate and we could tell that our things would be taken care of by how she took time to explain everything in detail. The guys showed up on time on moving day, Pabel, Alex, and Miguel, and worked as a true team, each carefully carrying our items to the truck. Thank you Rocky Movers for a stress free moving day!!!Posted on Google Ken HinchliffeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had are furniture taken to their warehouse for storage.Posted on Google Roger SchwarzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rocky Movers was outstanding in every respect for a long-distance move to Philadelphia. Professional, courteous crews and everything arrived in perfect condition. And their price was fair and reasonable. Their back office is highly responsive.Posted on Google Michael SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As many moves can be, ours was complicated. We were trying to sell and buy a house right around Christmas and knew we needed to get a move scheduled quickly due to the holidays. However, with neither transaction being final it was hard to pinpoint an exact date. Joe with Rocky Movers walked me through some options, Barry did a FaceTime tour of the house to create an estimate, and we set a tentative window. Once the transactions were complete, Joe got the date finalized. The movers who arrived at our house were incredibly efficient and professional. Job foreman Martin and his assistant loaded the entire household contents on a 26-foot truck within four hours. They handled our belongings with care. That same care was used two days later when Martin and another assistant arrived to unload the belongings. We were very pleased with the overall communication from the beginning to the end of the process and with the attention shown to ensuring a successful move during the middle of the holiday season.Posted on Google Rem BashariTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Moving questions, answered
The questions Denver movers get asked most — straight answers, no fine print.
How much do movers cost in Denver?
Local moves are priced by crew size and hours plus a truck fee. A typical 2-bedroom Denver move runs about $550-$900; larger homes and long-distance moves are quoted individually. You get a written estimate up front, and Colorado’s not-to-exceed rule means that quote is the ceiling — no surprise total on move day.
How much should I tip movers?
Tipping is optional and always appreciated. A common guideline is $10–$20 per mover for a half-day move or $20–$40 per mover for a full day — or around 10–15% of the total, split among the crew. Great service is the best reason to tip.
How far in advance should I book my move?
Two to four weeks ahead is ideal, and more for month-end dates and peak summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), when crews book up fastest. We’ll always try to fit in short-notice moves when a crew is open.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Rocky Movers is permitted with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission Permit No. HHG-00594 and holds USDOT 3077926, with full liability and cargo coverage on every move. You can verify any Colorado mover’s permit with the PUC’s online lookup tool.
What items won't you move?
For safety and legal reasons we can’t transport hazardous materials — propane tanks, gasoline, paint, and chemicals — or perishable food and live plants on longer moves. We’ll point you to the right way to handle those before move day.
Do you offer packing and storage?
Yes. We offer full or partial packing with quality materials, plus clean, secure short- and long-term storage for the gap between move-out and move-in. Add either when you request your quote.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a small deposit reserves your crew and truck — one hour of labor for local moves, or $200 for long-distance moves. It’s fully refundable up to 48 hours before your moving date or the start of your moving window, and it’s credited toward your final bill. No oversized deposits, and never cash-only.
